Getting Started

Ready to experience a modern dynamic island on your Windows desktop? Follow these simple steps to get WinIsland up and running.

Installation

1. Download: Head over to the Download Page and grab the latest WinIsland.exe.
2. Run: No installation required! Just double-click the .exe file.
3. Permissions: If Windows SmartScreen pops up, click "More info" and "Run anyway". This is because the nightly build is not yet signed.

Basic Controls

• Hover: Move your mouse over the island to see it react.
• Click: Click the island to expand it and reveal media controls and tools.
• Right-Click (System Tray): Right-click the island icon in your system tray to access settings, toggle visibility, or exit the application.

Troubleshooting

• No Media Info?: Ensure that your media player supports Windows SMTC (most browsers, Spotify, and modern music apps do).
• Blur not working?: Check if your system supports hardware acceleration and if you have the latest graphics drivers installed.
